Failed His HSC, Told He’d “Be Nothing” — Now Runs a $30M+ Business

At his high school graduation, John Megalli’s principal told him he wasn’t going to be anything in life. He turned that into fuel.

On this episode of Inspire from Reality, John talks about growing up in Mount Druitt, facing racism at school, and failing his HSC. He worked for $15 a day, then started his own business with $1,000 and a Toyota Corolla. In the early days he picked up fridges and washing machines from the side of the road, rebuilt them, and sold them. Today he runs an air conditioning and mechanical ventilation business turning over $30 million.
